Proposals for Health and Social Care Reform
On 4 February 2008, Michael McGimpsey, Minister for Health, Social Services & Public Safety set out his proposals for the reform of the health and social care system.

The Executive has now agreed that the proposals be consulted upon. With regard to Health Councils the Minister has proposed "action to reinforce the independence of the Health and Social Services Councils and strengthen the regional aspects of patient, client and carer representation while maintaining a strong local focus"

Survey Of Dental Practices In Western Board Area

The WHSSC carried out a survey of Dental Practices in the Western Board area in April 2008 and the survey was repeated in May 2008. Click here for the results of the survey.

It provides key information about health services and is available in English and thirteen other languages.
